2. Wilhelmina Marks, (Carl Ludwig 1 ) born 21-Oct-1852 in Prussia, died 21-Dec-1933, buried 24-Dec-1933 in St Peter's Ev Lutheran Cemetery Rockland, Manitowoc, WI, obituary 28-Dec-1933 in Manitowoc County, Wisconsin, immigrated Jul-1854 to Port of Buffalo, New York. She died at the home of her daughter, Bertha (Mrs. Theo. Draheim.) She had come to take a short visit. She had then taken ill for three weeks and died. They had a number of sons named William. At least three but most lived only a few days or months.

William : Family in 1880 census of Maple Grove (Rockland), Manitowoc County, Wisconsin, and 1900 census of Rockland, Manitowoc County, Wisconsin, & 1910. August and Fred were from William's first marriage.

Frederick Wilhelm Marks, (Carl Ludwig 1 ) born 13-Apr-1857 in Eaton, Manitowoc County, Wisconsin, died 17-Nov-1923 in Colby, Marathon County, Wisconsin, buried 21-Nov-1923 in Colby Memorial Cemetery, Colby, Wis., obituary 22 & 29-Nov-1923 in Colby Phonograph. He purchased the family farm from his father October 27, 1883 for $3,000. He and Emilie were married in a Lutheran ceremony performed by Rev. A. Topel. By June 6, 1889 he had moved to Hull township, Marathon County. That is when he sold the farm to his brother Michael. Fred had purchased 80 acres (the north 1/2 of the south east 1/4) in section 22. The farm was next to his wife's relatives. When they moved here the area was still a wilderness. They lived there until 1920 when they moved to Colby. He died of an appendicitis, after being ill for six days. The family is in the 1900, 1905 and 1910 census of Hull township, Marathon County, Wisconsin. In 1920 Colby, Clark Co., Wis.

Meinke and Christine Becker) died 19-Jun-1947 in Marshfield, Wood County, Wisconsin, buried 22-Jun-1947 in Colby Memorial Cemetery, Colby, Wis., obituary 26-Jun-1947 in Colby Phonograph, immigrated 1883 at USA. Emilie : Emilie came to U.S. in 1883 and settled with her parents in Manitowoc county. Four years after she married Fred, they moved to Hull, Marathon County, Wisconsin. In 1946 she moved from Colby to Marshfield, Wisconsin, to be with her daughter, Anna Hoeft. She died at her daughter's home. She had been in poor health for about a year

She married (1) 02-Jan-1884 in Wausau, Marathon County, Wisconsin, Harvey Hundoon, (son of Joseph Hundoon and Louisa).
She married (2) 27-Jun-1889 in Wayside, Brown County, Wisconsin, Ferdinand Vergiels, born __-Apr-1866 in Wisconsin, (son of Johann Vergiels and Marie Erdhard), died 1932? in Wayside, Brown County, Wisconsin, buried in Eaton, Manitowoc County, Wisconsin. Ferdinand : He is listed as a harnes maker in the 1900 census of Morris, Brown Co., WI. In 1910 he worked for the railroad and lived in Rockland, Manitowoc Co., WI. In 1920 he is a a widower and still living in Rockland. Occupation still listed as laborer but the rest is illegible.

6. Anna Louise Marks, (Carl Ludwig 1) born 20-Mar-1863 in Eaton, Manitowoc County, Wisconsin, baptized 19-Mar-1865 in St John-St James Ev Luth Ch. Records, died 12-Sep-1952 in Sheboygan, Sheboygan County, Wisconsin, buried 15-Sep-1952 in Wildwood Cemetery, Sheboygan, Wisconsin, obituary 12-Sep-1952 in Sheboygan Press. She attended rural schools in Manitowoc County and for a short time after her marriage lived in Manitowoc and then De Pere, Wisconsin. Her last years were spent living with her son, Henry and his wife. She died following a lengthy illness at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan.

Wisconsin, Michael Grapentine, born 29-Sep-1857 in Prussia, (son of Andrew (Andreas) Grapentine(Gabentin) and Katharina (Raybouski?) died 25-Feb-1939 in Sheboygan, Sheboygan County, Wisconsin, buried 27-Feb-1939 in Wildwood Cemetery, Sheboygan, Wisconsin, obituary 25 & 28-Feb-1939 in Sheboygan Press, immigrated Feb-1881 in Port of New York.
Michael entered the United States at the port of New York on or about February 1881. This date was on his Declaration of Intention to become a citizen filed on October 31, 1884 in the Brown County Court House, Green Bay, Wisconsin. No entry in the January to March passenger lists for New York have been found. Though there is an entry for a Michl. Grapentin age 25 that arrived in New York on December 27, 1881 from Prussia on the SS Rhenania also listed is a Gottliebe Grapentin age 30 as a wife no child is listed. There is a family story that he came over with a wife and child named Fred. This coyuld possibly be him. He may have come over with his first wife and son Fred or the child was born shortly after they arrived. Frederick's mother died shortly after he was born and Michael remarried in August of 1882. He lived in Manitowoc county for a while and then moved to De Perre, Brown county by September of 1883. They stayed there until 1888 when they moved back to Rockland township, Manitowoc County. In June of 1892 they were still there but by September of 1892 they were in Sheboygan and that's where they stayed. Other possible spellings of his last name are Grappetin, Grabentin, Grapentin, Grapentine.

She married 04-Apr-1889 in De Pere, Brown County, Wisconsin, Moritz Fuelle, born 16-Jul-1866 in Greiz, Germany, (son of Frederick Karl Fuelle and Sophie Louise Saalfrank) died 13-Dec-1946 in Morrison, Brown County, Wisconsin, buried 18-Dec-1946 in Wayside, Brown County, Wisconsin, obituary 16-Dec-1946 in Green Bay & De Pere, immigrated 1882 to USA. Moritz : He was christened W. Moritz Fuelle but he took on Moritz W. Fuelle as his name. He was the seventh child. Moritz came to New York, October 15, 1883, from Germany with his brothers Herman and Paul. Their last residence was Lipsig, Saxony, Germany. Paul had settled in Danbury, Connecticut and Herman in New Haven, New York. Moritz was examined by a doctor and had poor lungs. He was told to go further west and to a colder climate. He then came to Wisconsin. He worked as a cook at a lumber camp. The rest of the family stayed in Germany except for a cousin named Max. He was the son of his brother Robert. Max's mother had written for him to come over here.
Moritz was a carpenter and also operated a shoe repair shop in Wayside. Their building burned in 1900. They escaped with out injury but lost all of there belongings. The barking of their dog, Trixie, had saved their lives. Neighbors help them to rebuild. In 1914 they moved to Green Bay, Wisconsin.
In Green Bay he found employment with the Northwestern Railroad in their repair shop. He retired in 1938 and then he moved in with his daughter, Hilda, in Morrison.
About a week before he died he came down with pneumonia. He passed away at Hilda's house.
The family is in the 1900 & 1910 Census of the Town of Morrison, Brown County, Wisconsin. 1900, 1910 census living in Morrison, Brown County, Wis. Shoemaker and owns his own shop. In 1920 census they were living in the city of Green Bay, Wis. His occupation is listed as conductor on a steam railway.
