She married Selah Fay Crosby, married 1820 in Barrington, Yates County, New York, born 29-Jan-1794 in Bath, Steuben County, New York, (son of Nathan Crosby and Lydia Cole) died 03-Feb-1877 in Barrington, Yates County, New York, buried in Wayne Cemetery, Tyrone, Schuyler Co., New York. Selah: Some of the information on the Crosby family comes from Larry E. Crosby of Woodstock, Georgia. Copied from LDS, Family History Department records. Copies on file. There was a Harvey Crosby that was listed as being their son and he died at age 30, see History And Directory Of Yates County New York, and Peter was not mentioned at all. I don't know if I trust any of his dates. His Wortman dates are all wrong. The family is in the 1860 Census living in Savona, Steuben County and in 1870 Barrington, Yates County.

Listed in 1860 census as AW Sutherland but all other information on family correct but has a son named Eugene. Eugene was not listed in Cleveland's History of Yates Co. perhaps another relative living with them.

Harriet: Excerpt from HISTORY AND DIRECTORY OF YATES COUNTY, NEW YORK Julia Bassett wife of Andrew Wortman is her niece. In the 1880 census she is listed as living with her son in Barrington, Yates County, New York. 1900 census she is living next to her son John in Barrington.

Listed in the 1870 census of Ronald township, Ionia County, Michigan. Also in the 1880 census in Ronald.
She married Charles Swarthout, born 1822 in Yates County, New York, (son of James A. Swarthout and Betsey Ketchum) died after 1880 in Michigan, buried in Vanvleck Cemetery, Palo, Ionia County, Michigan. Charles: 1850 Census Barrington, Yates Co., NY & 1860. Came to Ionia Michigan in April 1865. They are listed in the 1870 and 1880 census in Ronald Township, Ionia County, Michigan. His occupation is machinist. In 1870 their daughter Louisa Ferguson is living with them but in 1880 their daughter Louisa's son only is living with them. Charles Ferguson aged 10.

There is a divorce listed in Ionia County records of William and Louisa Ferguson in 1872. I could not find her in the 1880 census.
